Al final de la freakin' pandemia jalisquilla todo vuelve a la normalidad y los toquines también. El próximo Sábado 23 de Mayo, la Soho Riots family atentará contra la salud de los noise lovers (la última vez degollaron la ternura del Dear Deer) cuando quemen todo lo que esté a su paso! It's gonna be great!

Habían estado medio calladas las cosas en el Broken Social Scene camp pero de pronto todo estalló. Justo la semana pasada salió a la venta el libro This Book is Broken que documenta la enredada vida de la banda. Si era un poco difícil unir la pedacera de sus vidas, creo que este documento es la guía excelente para todos los die-hard fans... con suerte Arts & Crafts México tendrá algunas copias para todos nosotros.

Kevin Drew @ Soma studios

Según el nuevo blog de Kevin "chubs" Drew, the Scene ha comenzado a grabar su cuarto larga duración en Soma, los estudios del Tortoise dude, John McEntire (sorry Stars & Suns geeks). Para Drew, la separación temporal con Dave Newfeld , su productor de cabecera es como un paso lógico, o algo así: "There is no one like Dave and no one who makes records like him. He has played a HUGE role in our music but right now it feels good to be at Soma with John."

Pues a ver si es cierto... jejejejej.

En medio de la cuesta de una hilarante paranoia mediática por fin todo parece regresar a la normalidad... Y para celebrarlo el Mr. Heart Attack les tiene varios presentes...

Lo primero tiene que ver con algo personal (en un blog escribir de algo no personal es todo un lujo...). Se trata del segundo track del Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators que en estos días resulta ser una excelente letra de aliento. That Es un regalo para aquellos que se encuentren a punto de comenzar algo, de graduarse, de renunciar... va sobre las líneas del turn on, tune in, drop out!

A few more goodies on Mr. Heart Attack T.V. El fin de semana que comenzó la pandemia se llevó a cabo la presentación del debút Victorian Houses de los über-mellow-epic-hip Antoine Reverb en el infame LARVA (now seriously man! cut the shit... get some real sound engineers and some fine roadies, stop cancelling gigs and then you'll have a nice and decent venue). Esa noche estuvieron acompañados por, el side project de la Soho Riots family, Holy Mountains (no, no The Holy Mountains, ni Holy Mountain... HOLY FREAKIN' MOUNTAINS). Como sorpresa, el amo de las chácharas electrónicas (see older posts), el Sr. Hugo Robota (Nos Llamamos, Evil Hippie, Robota) los acompañó en una gloriosa y épica (there's got to be something wrong about self-promotion...) versión de I Wanna be your Dog de The Stooges... véanlo con sus propios ojillos:
